Commit Media, launched in 2005, is seeking a highly motivated public relations freelancer for a pr campaign.
We are undertaking a public relations campaign, targeting major print and broadcast outlets in the non-profit, entertainment, and business fields. We'd like to raise the profile of Commit Media by increasing media exposure and engaging in key speaking engagements.
This will be a freelance job, lasting approximately 3-6 months, with the continuous potential for more work related to individual client projects on an as-needed basis.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven contacts and track record, a great rapport and credibility with the media, a can-do attitude, clever ideas, flexibility, and high energy. In addition, the candidate should have excellent written / verbal communication skills, and be highly organized.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- Extremely internet savvy; able to exploit the 'net to get the most info out of it (i.e. not just typing into google!)
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Friendly, diligent, reliable, flexible, etc.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of solid public relations experience. The fee is to be negotiated once the terms of the project have been worked out between both parties.

Research Assistant
We are currently searching for a research assistant to help us out with project-related research. Much of this will be investigating different celebrities and public figures to determine their specific political, environmental, and social histories, and helping to project what causes they might be most suited to endorse.
Requirements:
The job requires a minimum of 8 hours a week, possibly up to 15, depending on the project and amount of research needed. We'll consider those requesting college credit, or will pay an hourly fee. Working from home is ideal.
